I live in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside with my hubby, our two children, and a very old ex-pub that eats up most of our weekends with love, sweat, and plenty of DIY tears. The Yorkshire Dales are my playground — if I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me in my wellies, exploring new walks with two little hands in mine.
I have an unhealthy obsession with avocados (I’m convinced the saying should be “an avocado a day keeps the doctor away”) and a healthy obsession with fashion, photography, and finding beauty in the everyday. Honestly, my camera may as well be superglued to me — I can’t stand the thought of missing a moment.
the face (and camera) behind Simone Oaks Collective.
After graduating from the University of Leeds (let’s not count how many years ago that was), I spent over 16 years in marketing — working in-house and in agencies across PR, influencer marketing, and brand strategy.
But creativity kept tugging at me. Five years ago, I set up an Instagram account to capture the everyday chaos and beauty of motherhood, and somehow, I fell into working with brands.
My creative spark lit up, I built a roster of clients alongside my corporate job, and in February
2023, I took the leap to go freelance full-time. I’ve not looked back since!
what i do best
my approach
Think of me as the friend behind the camera — I’ll put you at ease, help you forget the lens, and capture the obvious, the fleeting, and the in-between moments that make your story yours.
Your story deserves to be told beautifully, honestly, and with heart.
No stiff smiles. No forced moments.
with warmth, creativity, and a dash of humour.
